Hugh Cahill (Partner)

Hugh has both commerce and law degrees from The University of Western Australia. Hugh was admitted as a legal practitioner in Western Australia in December 1989.

His principal areas of legal practice are property law, succession planning, general commercial law and the law relating to Retirement Villages and Aged Care. Hugh's property law practice focuses on leasing (commercial, retail and industrial) and property developments. He also has extensive experience in succession planning including both personal and business. Hugh also presented to the Institute of Chartered Accountants on succession planning and wills.

Hugh is a fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Since October 1996 he has been a member of the Board of Southern Cross Care WA (Inc), a not-for-profit organisation which is a major provider of aged care services in Western Australia. From November 2005 until December 2009 he was the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Hugh has tutored and lectured at The University of Western Australia, University of Notre Dame and the Securities Institute of Australia in a number of areas including property law, corporations law and finance law. He has also presented to the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants on corporate governance. Hugh also provides general advice to charities and not-for-profit organisations.

Neale Billington (Partner)

Neale is a graduate of UWA and was admitted in February 1990.

He has practised primarily in commercial dispute solution and general litigation since 1990. Neale's practice is varied, covering both litigious and commercial matters, including corporate takeovers and due diligence. He has a solid grounding in commercial issues from a background with a large national firm and a local medium size firm. Neale can provide added insight, perspective and commercial aptitude on the legal issues often underlying litigious disputes and a greater awareness of issues which need to be considered to avoid litigation arising.

Annalisa Letter (Consultant)

Annalisa is a consultant to the firm with over twenty years experience dealing in commercial property related transactions. Coming from a background in a large local firm, she has also spent a period of six years as an in-house lawyer with The University of Western Australia. Annalisa currently practises in the area of commercial law with a particular interest in property, business and franchising.

Fiona Masarei (Consultant)

Fiona has practised in both general litigation and as a commercial lawyer since 1994. Fiona currently practises in property related transactions (especially leasing) and also in the areas of probate, estate planning and wills.
